The Bachelors - I Believe - Very Best Of The BachelorsThe Bachelors were one of the biggest selling bands of the 1960s, clocking up a total of 8 top 10 hits, including two number 1 singles. One of these � Diane - knocked the Beatles off the #1 spot in 1964 and went on to spend a total of 77 weeks on the chart (versus the Fab Four�s 65 weeks in the same year) During the 60s, the band�s TV appearances attracted some of the biggest audiences of the decade � and indeed, their 1965 Live From The London Palladium performance still holds the record for the biggest TV audience for a musical broadcast (22 million viewers). As well as being an iconic band in their own right, The Bachelors inspired two more recent phenomenons � Boyzone and Robson & Jerome. Louis Walsh happened to talk to the Bachelors� manager one day in the 1980s, who advised the young manager to form a boy band � multi-platinum selling Boyzone were the result.
