| 5 / 5 | Fast sustained write speeds
Graeme Stewart "ShadowEye" (Glasgow, Scotland) - 14 January 2007 The most important things about this card, over much cheaper ones of similar capacity, is its write speed. It is rated at 9MB/s. I've tested that it can keep up with my Pentax K10D writing 3 JPEGs a second until the card is full (each JPEG is about 2.5MB). If you have a new digital SLR with a high frame rate then this is a highly recommended card. |
| 4 / 5 | Good product and does what it claims
Mrs. TRIPTI A. Kshatriya "Tripti" (Bristol, United Kingdom) - 19 August 2006 Have been using this for 2 months or so now and am really impressed with it. When used directly in a card reader the write speed is wow, though when used while synching with Treo 650 a little slow but still impressive. Very fast when reading directly on the Treo and also while taking photos with the treo camera. Overall am very satisfied with the product and am thinking of purchasing another one for my canon camera. |
| 1 / 5 | Compatibility issues
Slick - 22 June 2007 This card turned out to be incompatible with my PC's card reader. I've since found out that there are known compatibility issues for SD cards over 1GB (see Wikipedia) but you don't get any warning when you purchase. The market place seller, flash_memory, wouldn't take any responsibility for this and in any case the p&p for market place sellers sending small items like this is ridiculous. My advice is avoid sellers like flash_memory where you might get stuck with an unhelpful returns policy. Make sure your reader can take a card over 1GB or find a high street vendor who will agree in advance to take back or exchange a non compatible card. Virgin were happy to do this for a Wii SD card if it was not compatible with my PC.... Read Full Review » |
| 4 / 5 | Great little number
E. Gibbs "bigedthehead" (UK) - 13 August 2007 This is a great SD card with fast write speed. Paired with my D40X it's fantastic. My only gripe is Amazon's "Ebayesque" marketplace ploy of adding £5.50 for postage! Give us the full price Amazon before we get to the checkout, we can take it! |
| 5 / 5 | Pay the extra for GENUINE product
Mr. S. Gregory "bigsg5" (Shropshire, UK) - 13 September 2007 There is a lot of fake Sandisk and Sony memory cards knocking around on the internet. So I paid the extra and ordered from Amazon directly, i.e. not a 3rd party seller or Ebay. As least this way you know 100% you are buying what is advertised. The downside is it costs you a few pounds more, but at least you have the knowledge that your product is guaranteed under Sandisks warranty. Price for 2GB of storage is very good nowadays so very pleased with purchase.... Read Full Review » |
