| 5 / 5 | The Perfect Bedtime Album for Kids
James (UK) - 25 November 2004 As a parent I've bought loads of bedtime music for my kids and they all drive me nuts with their irritating & twee arrangements. This album is world away from that. Sophie Barker's soothing voice is perfect & the musical arrangements are mellow & even help sending me to sleep! I have a 1 year old boy and 3 year old girl and this album works perfectly for both. It makes them instantly calm and sends them to sleep really quickly. Steer clear of all the other dreadful nursey rhyme albums. For the sake of your own sanity, get this one!... Read Full Review » |
| 5 / 5 | Peace & Quiet - AT LAST!! ;-)
Baldy Man (Devon) - 4 September 2006 My wife and I had been experiencing some problems in settling our young children down at night time and heard about this album via a friend. As our kids absolutely love lullabies and nursery songs, I bought the album as a present for my wife in the hope that it would help in resolving issues during the night time routine. To my amazement, the effect was instant. The children settled down with no problems while playing the album which contains a deluge of soothing lullabies. They seemed to be entranced by each and every track. I would think that a lot of effort has gone into the production of this album steering away from conventional musical arrangements in order to emphasise more on pacification of our dear little ones. Nice to hear something where the production team have been bold enough to go against the grain! Now that our kids are a little more grown up, the album has gone missing. My wife is a senior nursery worker within a pre-school baby unit and I find this is where the album has ended up! Lullaby I am told is used there on a daily basis with great effect (much to the relief of all staff)! ;-)... Read Full Review » |
| 5 / 5 | Love it
K. S. Henderson (Scotland) - 15 January 2007 I bought this for our daughter when she was a few months old. My husband and I love it so much we have been known to play it even when our daughter has been long asleep. She's just turned three and still loves it. I have bought several copies, giving it as a gift for friends who have had new babies. |
| 5 / 5 | Precious nights sleep in a CD box!
JoJo (Bedfordshire, England) - 30 October 2006 This is an absolute must have. Our 14 month old toddler, who had up until he was about a year old had been a fairly good sleeper, seemed to forget how to send himself off to sleep. With the help of this enchanting and soothing C.D our little one is now off to the land of nod within a few minuets and for the next 40 mins or so we can hear the C.D through the baby monitor it's so lovely and relaxing it almost has us falling asleep!! Enjoy! ... Read Full Review » |
| 5 / 5 | A gem for your wee one!
Jennifer Kermeen - 24 May 2006 I just had to write a review to counter the unfavourable ones. From what I can tell - those unhappy with this cd are Zero 7 fans -ADULTS - who were disappointed. I can tell you as a singer/songwriter/guitarist and mum of a 5 month old, this CD is a gem when played for it's intended audience- babies! They love it. My daughter falls asleep to it every night - and after 5 months, I am still not sick of listening to it. That is an achievement! There is so much crap out there for kids - at last something mums and dads can stomach, too! And the length is perfect for bedtime. And as for the arrangements - if there is a better version of Ba Ba Black Sheep or Row Row Row Your Boat out there - I'll eat my hat. Jennifer (& Little Martha) London ... Read Full Review » |
