| 5 / 5 | Music to aid a walking meditation
Carol@ Celtic Yoga Centre Wallycarolprice@aol.com (King's Lynn, Norfolk, England UK) - 13 March 2002 This cd was given to me by a pupil of mine (Hatha Yoga), who had been to Samye Ling, a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. I used it for a walking meditation practice. It was just beautiful. I have also used it for 'welcoming' music, and played quietly for final shivasana (relaxation). Not wishing to hog the review.... but my sister-in-law now has the cd, she is recovering from breast cancer, and this cd saw her through some dark moments. What other recommendation could I give it? Enjoy, and pass on for others to benefit.... Read Full Review » |
| 1 / 5 | peace chants that made me angry
Nick (huddersfield, U.K) - 15 June 2002 Having studied buddhism for only a few months i decided it was time to venture inti the avenue of the music that relates to my new found spirituality. I was massively dissapointed with this offering and have only polluted my stereo with it once. The majority of the album is taken up by poor sounding keyboards relacing the traditional vocals, altough some traditional instruments are thrown in there to try and give in a touch of respectability. I was not at all suprised when at the back of the inlay card I found an advert for the ever terrible pan-pipe series.... Read Full Review » |
| 5 / 5 | Truly inspirational and enlightening.
Hemang Popat (London) - 3 November 2001 Quite simply one of the best new age cd's you could buy. From the moment the music starts, you feel an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility. A cd that you will play time and time again. Truly fantastic & money well spent!!!!! |
| 1 / 5 | This cd is SO bad
- 28 May 2002 I looked at the review this CD had before purchasing it and I thought how could I go wrong when it had 5 * ratings? There are two pieces of music on the CD. The first five minutes of the first song I thought "this might be good" but that's what it was, the same thing over and over and over again for nearly a half an hour.Talk about cutting costs! Piece two..perhaps this could be better I hoped. Same thing; the first two minutes of the piece are repeating over and over again. I practice yoga, I've had many relaxation cds and cds that are so easy to unwind with. Suffice to say this had the opposite effect!... Read Full Review » |

"michellepears" - 27 October 2000 This CD is fantastic, it immediatly takes you on a journey of peace and tranquility. You can feel the stresses of the day just vanish. It is great to listen to or, to just have it playing in the background. Either way you can feel the release. The first piece lasts 20mins and the second about 40 mins. Worth every penny. |
