4 / 5	Practical torch, great for the WHO fan! syd (Durham, England) - 1 August 2006 I already have the UV light sonic screwdriver toy which I love but find it a bit on the large side (I read that it had to be slightly bigger than the real thing to accomodate the pen nib). This one is the perfect size though! Much more like the size of the TV one and the light is very bright, so it's not just for show - it really does function very well as a torch although it gives everything an eerie blue glow...very sci-fi! To compare again to the UV light sonic screwdriver, that one can be extended whereas this one can't - what you see is what you get. 5 / 5	A Really Great Little Torch SimonB (South West England) - 11 August 2006 A wonderful and very bright torch based on the sonic screwdriver from the new Doctor Who series. It really is a must-have for any fan, and is small enough to be easily carried and is incredibly bright (with a nice blue LED) - so functional and fun! My only complaints are that it's way too small - far smaller than the actual prop used on the show. Also, it doesn't extend or have the sounds that the toy screwdriver does, not essential as it's not meant to be a toy, but would have been nice. 5 / 5	A dog? pshaw. A sonic screwdriver is by far a mans best friend! S. Bayless "Exeter" - 6 May 2007 I was a little dubious when I hit the "Buy" button but now I'm a beleiver. I carry my beloved sonic screwdriver everywhere. I think my parents beleive that I am slightly insane. If you are looking into Doctor Who paraphenalia this should be high on your list, next to the Cybermen action figures.
3 / 5	Just to clear something up... Mr. Thomas Briggs "DandyHighwayman" (Leicester, UK) - 26 May 2007 I just wanted to mention that Mrs. C. A. Degg (see the review above, somewhere) seems to have her wires crossed- this product neither acts as a pen nor makes noises of any kind (unless you hit something with it, but that doesn't count). As for my thoughts on the product- it could be much better built, and it'd be nice if it wasn't plastic, but if you're looking for a torch in the shape of a sonic screwdriver than you can't go far wrong with this product. It's a bit smaller than the Doctor's version, but that's not really a bad thing as it means it'll fit in your pocket amongst the yo-yos, dice and jelly babies that little bit better...... Farooq - 9 August 2007 you buy toys and buy toys and buy toys to try and keep them happy then you buy this and you can't wipe the smile of their faces if i knew it would have kept them so happy over the summer holidays ( fingers crossed )i would of paid a lot more if your kids like doctor who they will love this ( just wait till they get to some lift doors and pull out their sonic screwdriver )...
